No matter how far we've come, sometimes, one just has to remember the journeys traversed and the inspirations that have lighted the way. Over the years, many artists (in various mediums) have engrained their works into my subconscious, whether it be the "pop art" of Takashi Murakami to the graphic design styling of Fred Woodward in his past work in Rolling Stone magazine. Revisiting what attracted you to their works in the first place, when you hit the proverbial "brick wall", is usually enough to spark that creative fire that drives all artists. One of the more profound statements I've ever heard is "remember where you came from, for that's who you are."

Ryan is making tremendous progress on his Hope in Tanzania Foundation work, generating some nice press during the Tanzanian ambassador's recent visit to LaCrosse, WI. Check out the link provided: http://www.wxow.com/story/16996536/tanzanian-ambassador-visits-la-crosse
In other news, Harold has been named as a new Board member (multimedia) for the Swing with the Legends Milwaukee Charity Golf Classic. Studio 91 has had the honor of creating their website and attending the 2011 event, capturing video and photographs for the 2012 site. Forty-two former Major League Baseball alumni attended the event in 2011, including former Brewer legends as Gorman Thomas, Jim Gantner, Charlie Moore and Brewers Hall-of-Famer Robin Yount. Cubs Hall-of-Famer Fergie Jenkins was also in attendance along with many other former MLB greats, raising funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in addition to other wonderful causes. The 2011 site will be up for a few more days until the 2012 site is unveiled. Check out http://www.swingwiththelegends.org/ for more information. Our newest client, Kramer Real Estate & Auction Services, has their new website up and running (www.kramersales.com). The video of the January 28th firearms auction was something special to experience. Thanks to Curt, John and Cheryl for the opportunity to work on such a great project and I look forward to a fantastic working rel
2012 is starting off well with two "outdoors-related" websites going into production with another real estate site and a veterinary clinic website as well. For now, the clients will remain anonymous, but be sure to check out their respective sites once they are completed and active on the web.
Lastly, here is a link to a great article for social media use and benefits for small businesses to consider (if they haven't already). http://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman2/publish/New_media_23/Next-social-media-wave-Small-businesses.asp Well, today is the first official day of business for Studio 91 in the year 2012. Currently, we are working on the Tibbets Elementary School Christmas program video. Ryan is working on the video edit and I have the pleasure of inserting 130 DVD labels into the 14mm cases, after printing & trimming them. If all goes well, we'll have the completed product shipped out by Friday the 6th. Keeping our fingers crossed for now, as it always seems "something" comes up that poses a delay. Murphy's Law perhaps?
